The horn band August poured on the heat at the Montrose Room of the Chicago Intercontinental Hotel in Rosemont Saturday night to a jacked-up crowd. The rhythm ‘n’ soul band with that distinctive Chicago sound performed nearly 20 hit songs, including the band’s pounding rendition of Long Train Running, featuring lead singer Ron Porter.

On Friday, January 20th, WGN TV featured the hot horn band August. Lead singer Ron Porter belted out the song Loveland, typifying the band’s rhythm ‘n’ soul style that’s distinct to the Windy City. Click here to view.

Temperatures will be rising fast this Saturday night.

That is, in the Montrose Room of the Intercontinental Chicago O’Hare Hotel.

The reason? Something hotter than jalapenos will be there to thaw you raw. It’s August, Chicago’s hottest horn band, featuring lead vocalist Ron Porter.

With a rhythm ‘n’ soul sound that’s unique to Chicago, August will get your blood pumpin’, your feet thumpin’ and your temperature jumpin’.
